Release Notes for WinRecs Version 303.0.0

Release Date: March 12, 2026
The 303.0.0 Fiscal Release includes 2026 CIHI Table Updates and Fixes Bug Issues.

This release is cumulative only after the most recent WinRecs Update has been applied however the update must be applied on minimal version 302.0.0 or greater.

Important:
For thosesites with CMG and CACS Groupers, the 303.0.0 Release contains a Grouper Engineupdate. Fiscal 2026 DAD and NACRS Level 2/3 abstracts must be grouped prior to submitting 2026 Period 01 files to CIHI. A warning message indicating “NoGrouper value…” will display should the record not be grouped with the currentgrouper year.


Clients must send Facility Information files prior to submitting 2026 visitsand must be on WinRecs version 303.0.0 to create the 2026 Facility InformationFiles.

After all releases have been applied sites with CACS and/or CMG groupers should have all coders check to ensure they can see grouper values in the visits. For Citrix clients this should be confirmed on all Citrix IP addresses. If grouper values are not displaying on a workstation/s please go to https://files.med2020.ca/Downloads/Winrecs2/Tools/REGASM/ and download the file called regasm.zip. Extract the file to the desktop/s of the affected computer/s. Double click the file; a black window will flash, and the process is complete. This will register the grouper dll.

3M Bridge New Tags 2026
Added support for new fields to be exchanged. These include admit category, discharge disposition, blood transfusion indicator. In addition, the institution from value will be sent with the HCINSTID field tag when institution type = 8.
